What are your hours?

I work by appointment only, it would be very unusual to find me idle in the office, so walk ins are almost impossible. I will take appointments as early as 7:00 AM, as late as 8:00 PM, and on both Saturday and Sunday. I do have occasional last minute openings due to cancellations, but generally speaking, the earlier you book the more likely you will get the time you want.

What if I only want my back rubbed?

I can do that. But keep in mind that everything is connected. Some of your back pain may be coming from other areas, so treating the symptoms doesn't always fix the problem.

What if I'm late?

Your start time is the time I expect to start on your massage in order to get you the full session time. If you are walking in the door at your start time, or later, you will unfortunately lose that time on the table. I will not likely be able to make up the time at the end without putting off all other appointments that day. In cases of extreme lateness, I may decide to reschedule you for another time so that you can enjoy your full session. Show up a few minutes early and you can be on the table for your full appointment time.

Why all the paperwork? Is it really necessary? Do you really have to know all of my medications?

I realize there is a lot of paperwork. But yes, it is necessary. I need to know about your medications because many medications change the way you perceive touch or pressure, change the viscosity of your blood, making it easier to bruise or move any clots, as well as various other things that will change the pressure or type of stroke that I can use. I need to know about any surgeries that are recent or have changed your anatomy in any way, so that I don't hurt you or damage those areas.

Do you take insurance?

Some insurance will cover massage. You will need to call your provider and find out how they want it done. Some will want receipts submitted for reimbursement, others may have paperwork for me to fill out, some won't cover massage at all. It will have to be a case by case basis, but I will be happy to work with you.

What if I have a disability?

I can certainly work on people who are differently abled. Check with your primary health provider to make sure you are able to receive massage, and I will accommodate and assist you in any way that I can.

Do you still offer mobile services?

Not on a regular basis. I can be mobile for larger groups, such as going into a business and working on several employees, usually with a chair. To come to a home setting for one or two people, it must be scheduled at least a month in advance, and the price will be negotiated at the time of scheduling.

Do I have to get undressed?

You don't have to, but it may be advised depending on what kind of massage you are getting. For a massage with long strokes, like a Swedish or Hot Stone, a lotion or oil is used to provide glide on the skin, clothing would not allow that glide. I don't reach under or move any clothing. You will be modestly draped at all times, only the body part being worked on will be exposed, then recovered as soon as the work is done.

What if my Groupon or Gift Certificate is expired?

Groupons, social media coupons, and gift certificates have an expiration date for a reason. If you call when you receive or purchase yours, I will be able to get you in before that expiration date, if you wait until it is almost expired I may not be able to. I understand that things happen, and I am happy to work with you if I see that you have put out an effort to get in on time. And remember, Groupons are always good for their face value, meaning, if you paid $30 for it and it is expired, it is still good for that $30 towards a regular price.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require 24 hours notice of any cancellation. Again, I understand that sometimes unforeseen things happen. Usually, if you give me as much notice as you can, I'm very understanding. Please note that any "no call, no show" on a social media coupon or Groupon will be considered your session. Also, history of "no call, no show" may require a prepayment before I will accept another appointment. I really will work with you in most instances, and would appreciate the same from you.
